The Thirty-Eight Twelve Memorial Foundation The Jason N. Marchand Memorial Scholarship
Shortly after laying her son to rest, Debbie Parsons started thinking of ways to make his sacrifice meaningful to others. Since Jason had a giving nature about him, she knew that any memorial to him would be in that spirit.
With that in mind, Debbie created the Jason N. Marchand Memorial Scholarship, which is to be given to a worthy student at Doddridge County High School.
Students who are interested can get an application from the school office. Applications are thoroughly reviewed by Debbie, with some assistance of the school's principal, guidance staff, and some of Jason's favorite teachers.
In May, 2008, the first of the annual scholarship was awarded to graduating senior, Sarah Davis, pictured below.
